Alpha Centauri headed to Springfield for the NE District Championship event April 5th- 8th, 2023.  Boosted by our win at the NE WNE Event, the team ranked among the top 90 teams in New England, qualifying us to compete.

This is an incredible accomplishment for Team #8604 Alpha Centauri, which is in only its third year of competition after forming in 2020.

Minuteman High School’s FIRST Robotics Team was part of the winning three-team alliance at the NE District Western New England Event held at Western New England University in Springfield, MA, on March 18. 

The team was one of 36 competing in the event, and was selected by top-seeded teams #176 and #195 to join their alliance in the playoffs based on our consistent and dependable gameplay during the qualifying rounds. Our alliance won all of our playoff matches and achieved a high score of 168 points, at that time a record in New England.
